Placing Your Veneers
The process of placing veneers is simple. For most patients, we can accomplish this is in two office visits. The first appointment will include discussing your needs, finding the best color match, and then making the preparations to your tooth. To prepare your tooth, we reduce the natural tooth structure in size and depth. We then clean the tooth and roughen up the surface; this will help the cement adhere better. We will place a temporary veneer at this first appointment.
Your second appointment will be scheduled after we have received your veneer from the dental lab. We will remove the temporary veneer, clean the surface of the tooth, and fit the permanent veneer. We will ensure the bite is correct and can make any alterations at this time as needed. Once the tooth is perfectly fitter, we can then cement the veneer in place. Your dental veneer should last several years with proper care; we will check its status during your regular dental visits.
Dental veneers can seem almost magical, patients come with any range of physical teeth issues, and we can hide them all. On average, dental veneers can remain in place for ten years. We can make any of your most visible front eight teeth, whiter, brighter, straighter, and perfected.
