Depending on the position of the tooth, your concern, and multiple other factors, we start the extraction process.
We use local anesthesia to numb the area and then use an elevator to expand your socket and forceps to remove the tooth from its socket in the alveolar bone. We might also make a tiny gum incision to access your non-erupted or broken tooth. Lastly, we use gauze to stem the blood flow, but you might continue bleeding lightly from the site for a few hours after the procedure. Our dentists will explain the after-care process to you and answer all of your questions.
